Simone Biles revealed that she was nearly scammed during a night out in Paris after the 2024 Summer Olympics.
After the closing ceremony, Biles went to a nightclub with friends and family to celebrate. While there, she was shocked when the club tried to charge her $26,000 for a single bottle of champagne. She said the price felt like an attempt to take advantage of her because of her fame.
Biles made it clear she didn’t fall for it and refused to buy the drink. She questioned why they would even try something like that, calling the situation “wild.”
She also pointed out that moments like this show the downside of being famous. According to her, sometimes she wishes she could live a more normal life without that kind of attention.
Although she didn’t name the club, reports suggest she was seen at L’Arc nightclub that night with her sister.
Despite the incident, Biles had a very successful Olympics, winning three gold medals and one silver, adding to her already legendary career. She later said she was proud of her performance, especially considering she once doubted she would return to Olympic competition after her struggles at the Tokyo Games.
In short: Biles avoided being overcharged at a Paris nightclub, highlighting how fame can sometimes attract unfair treatment, even during celebrations.
