Jeeno Thitikul Shares ‘Frustrated’ Confession on Playing Royal Lytham & St. Annes After Shooting 73

Jeeno Thitikul openly admitted she was “frustrated” after posting a 73 at Royal Lytham & St. Annes, saying the famous links course proved to be a stern test from start to finish. The Thai star struggled to make the most of several birdie opportunities and found it difficult to maintain momentum, particularly on the course’s demanding greens and around its punishing bunkers.

Thitikul explained that she felt her ball-striking was not as sharp as usual, and small mistakes quickly became costly on a layout that leaves little room for error. Royal Lytham, known for its narrow fairways, deep bunkers, and constantly changing wind conditions, has challenged many of the world’s best players over the years, and Thitikul’s round showed just how difficult the course can be even for elite golfers.

Despite the disappointment, the 23-year-old remained optimistic. She emphasized that the tournament is far from over and that she plans to make adjustments to her strategy and stay patient over the remaining rounds. Her candid comments highlighted both her competitive nature and the high standards she sets for herself whenever she competes on one of golf’s biggest stages.
