During an episode of the podcast *The Steam Room*, Barkley admitted he was deeply upset after seeing the cruel comments directed at the young receiver. The former NBA star said the situation angered him so much that it nearly brought him to tears.
Barkley criticized people who mocked the athlete’s speech difficulties, saying the behavior reflected a troubling level of cruelty on social media. He questioned how anyone could sit behind a computer and choose to ridicule a young player for something beyond his control.
