This caddie bib message made one PGA Tour wife’s weak at the Valspar Championship

The Valspar Championship’s tradition of allowing caddies to personalize the back of their bibs has led to some memorable and amusing moments over the years. Past highlights include Max McGreevy’s “Mr. 89” after shooting that score at The Players, Robert MacIntyre’s caddie marking the European team’s winning margin at the Ryder Cup, and Mark Hubbard’s caddie wearing a bib that simply read “Kick Me” in 2021.

This year, another creative entry made waves—one that particularly delighted a well-known figure on Golf Twitter, Jessica Hadwin. Often referred to as “Adam Hadwin’s wife” in media coverage, Jessica has become a social media favorite thanks to her witty and humorous takes on her husband’s performances.

At this year’s tournament, Adam Hadwin’s caddie, Joe Cruz, embraced the fun by wearing a bib with the inscription “JESSICASHUSBAND,” a playful nod to Jessica’s growing recognition in the golf community. The gesture was met with plenty of laughs and appreciation.

As Adam competes alongside Will Zalatoris and Sam Ryder during the opening rounds at Innisbrook, the added attention to his caddie’s bib only reinforces Jessica Hadwin’s ongoing impact on the sport’s online culture.
