Haynes, originally from Georgia, had multiple top programs, including Ohio State, Florida, and Georgia, pursuing him before he signed with Alabama. His decision to enter the portal comes as Alabama prepares for their ReliaQuest Bowl matchup against Michigan on December 31, 2024. Haynes’ departure adds to the challenges the Crimson Tide will face heading into the bowl game, as they look to regroup after a 9-3 regular season.
