Jessica Korda was recently seen practicing her golf swing at the 2023 Cognizant Founders Cup, marking her return to the sport after nearly 19 months away. During this time, she took a hiatus due to pregnancy and a back injury, which had worsened after playing through the pain. Jessica gave birth to her son, Greyson John DelPrete, on February 3, and decided to take indefinite time off to focus on motherhood and recover from her injury. She announced in May 2023 that her back injury was severe enough to require a break, and although she didn’t have a specific timeline for her return, she was receiving treatment to heal fully.

In recent months, there have been signs of a potential comeback. On October 27, Jessica posted a video showing her practicing her swing for the first time since May. She mentioned in the caption that she had consulted her sister, Nelly Korda, for tips on her technique. Nelly had also posted a picture with Jessica, both holding golf clubs, further hinting at their shared journey back to the course. This sparked speculation that Jessica may return to the LPGA Tour for the 2025 season.
As Jessica contemplates her comeback, her sister Nelly has been taking a well-deserved break after a neck injury. Nelly made her return at the ANNIKA event and later played in the CME Group Tour Championship in November, finishing tied for 5th. Now that the 2024 LPGA season has ended, Nelly has been enjoying her time with family and celebrating the holiday season. She has even helped Jessica with her swing, showcasing their close relationship both on and off the course.
As the Korda sisters get back into form, fans are eagerly awaiting their return to competitive golf. Nelly will be competing in the Grant Thornton Invitational with Tony Finau starting December 9, and both sisters are expected to make a big impact in the 2025 season. The possibility of them dominating the LPGA Tour together once more has sparked excitement among golf fans, who are hopeful for the Korda sisters’ reunion on the course.
