MLB insider labels Fernando Tatis Jr. a “dancing peacock,” Padres superstar hits back after clutch home run against Dodgers at Petco Park

The San Diego Padres’ National League Division Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers has been filled with drama over the course of the first three games. In Game 3, the Padres secured a crucial victory, but it was All-Star Fernando Tatis Jr. who stole the spotlight after a series of controversial moments in the matchup.

The drama began with Game 2, where Tatis Jr. was seen engaging with Dodgers fans in the stands at Dodger Stadium. His back-and-forth with the crowd prompted comments from an MLB insider, who referred to Tatis as a “dancing peacock.” This remark, made by Ken Rosenthal, caught the attention of both fans and Tatis himself. After hitting a pivotal two-run homer in the second inning of Game 3, Tatis responded to Rosenthal’s comment on his Instagram story, posting a peacock and a dancing emoji.

The Padres, now leading the series 2-1, are determined to stay grounded. Tatis Jr. emphasized that while the team has the upper hand, they must continue to take it one game at a time. Manny Machado, also at the center of controversy for an alleged throw toward Dodgers manager Dave Roberts in Game 2, echoed the sentiment, stating that the job isn’t finished and that the team must remain focused.

In Game 3, the Padres fought hard, winning narrowly 6-5 after a tense bullpen battle. With a potential series-deciding Game 4 set to take place in front of an energized crowd at Petco Park, both teams are expected to give their all. The Padres are looking to close out the series, but with the series still in play, both Tatis and Machado are aware that they need to continue pushing forward.
