New Leeds United star becomes first player since Robbie Keane in 2001 to reach Elland Road feat

Leeds United extended their unbeaten streak in the Championship to three matches following a 1-1 draw against Norwich City. After suffering their only loss of the season to Burnley, Leeds bounced back by securing seven points out of a possible nine, including wins over Cardiff City and Coventry City.

While the team managed a win against Cardiff, some Leeds fans were dissatisfied with the performance, even booing when Ilia Gruev made a backward pass. However, Leeds showed significant improvement against Coventry, delivering a strong 3-0 victory, considered by many as their best performance of the season.

During the match against Norwich City, Leeds came close to taking all three points, but a controversial refereeing decision and a reckless challenge by Joe Rodon left them with just a draw.

One standout performer over these matches has been Largie Ramazani. Making his full debut against Cardiff, Ramazani scored an impressive opening goal. He followed that up by assisting Jayden Bogle’s first goal for Leeds and then netting again against Norwich, securing an equalizer for his team. Despite initially being benched in favor of Manor Solomon, Ramazani has seized his opportunity after Solomon’s injury, contributing a goal or assist in each of his three starts—a feat last achieved by Robbie Keane in 2001.

Ramazani was brought in as a replacement for Crysencio Summerville, and if he maintains his current form, he could match or exceed Summerville’s 19 goals and nine assists from last season.

Leeds manager Daniel Farke admitted that he had been pleasantly surprised by Ramazani’s quick impact on the team. Initially, Farke had concerns about Ramazani’s physicality and ability to adapt to the demands of the Championship, especially given his background in La Liga. However, Ramazani has worked hard to improve, already tallying two goals and one assist in a short period. Farke also highlighted that while Ramazani’s offensive contribution is evident, there is still room for improvement in his defensive play. Despite these areas of growth, Farke praised Ramazani’s progress and expects him to continue to make a positive impact on the team.

Looking ahead to the upcoming match against Sunderland, Farke is hopeful that Ramazani’s development will continue to benefit Leeds.
