Jude Bellingham refuses to follow medical advice as he makes intentions clear at Real Madrid despite injury fears

English midfielder Jude Bellingham is dealing with a shoulder injury and has been advised to rest. However, the former Borussia Dortmund player is reportedly reluctant to sit out, as he doesn’t want to miss matches for Real Madrid. Bellingham initially dislocated his shoulder during a game against Rayo Vallecano in November 2023, and the injury resurfaced during Real Madrid’s 4-1 win over Espanyol on Sunday, September 22. Manager Carlo Ancelotti substituted him in the 84th minute, bringing on Antonio Rudiger. According to reports from the Spanish outlet MARCA, Bellingham has been advised to rest for full recovery, but he wants to continue playing due to missing earlier games this season because of a foot injury. The 21-year-old missed four La Liga matches and did not feature for England in their Nations League victories over Ireland and Finland. Ancelotti might rest Bellingham for Madrid’s upcoming game against Alaves on Tuesday, September 24, at Santiago Bernabeu, but he is expected to return for the Madrid Derby against Atletico on Sunday, September 29, at Civitas Metropolitano.

Additionally, Real Madrid is reportedly preparing a $133 million offer for Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala, who has attracted interest from multiple European clubs, including Manchester City. Musiala previously confirmed that he would stay with Bayern for the 2024/25 season, aiming to help them win another Bundesliga title. His contract with Bayern expires in 2026, but Bayern’s sporting director has acknowledged that a contract renewal might be challenging, although the club is keen to retain him. Musiala joined Bayern’s U-17 team in 2019 from Chelsea’s youth system and has since made 169 appearances for the senior team, scoring 46 goals and providing 34 assists. Despite his commitment to Bayern, both Real Madrid and Manchester City are expected to make a substantial offer for the 21-year-old.
