Arsenal’s preparations for their Champions League quarter-final second leg against Real Madrid have been hit by injuries. Despite holding a 3-0 lead from the first leg, the Gunners are dealing with key absences just days before the trip to the Santiago Bernabéu.
Midfielder Jorginho is officially ruled out after suffering a rib injury in the 1-1 draw with Brentford. He’s expected to miss several weeks.
Thomas Partey is also a major doubt, having experienced muscle tightness in the same match. He is being assessed to determine his availability.
Ben White was absent from the Brentford game after picking up a knock in training, while Jurriën Timber made the bench but is still regaining fitness after a long injury spell.
Despite the concerns, Mikel Arteta remains focused on finishing the job and guiding Arsenal into the semi-finals.
The second leg takes place Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 9:00 PM CET at the Santiago Bernabéu.
