MLB The Show 25 is unveiling player ratings ahead of its upcoming release, and reigning NL MVP Shohei Ohtani has earned a 99 overall rating, the highest mark in sports video games.
Along with Ohtani, the top five player ratings for the Los Angeles Dodgers were also revealed. Following their World Series victory and offseason additions, the team’s top-rated players reflect their dominant roster.
Ohtani leads the team at 99, followed by Mookie Betts (95), Blake Snell (92), Tyler Glasnow (91), and Freddie Freeman (90). Some teams only have a single player rated over 90, prompting strong reactions from fans.
Some fans argued that Ohtani deserved a perfect 100 rating, while others questioned the high rating for Snell. There were also criticisms suggesting that the Dodgers receive favorable treatment in the ratings.
