Watch: Fresh video reveals a furious Son striking Vicario against Villa; Bissouma was forced to step in

Last Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur defeated Aston Villa 4-0 to make a statement in their quest for a top-four position.

There was a scare in the 84th minute of Spurs’ usually uneventful game when goalie Guglielmo Vicario fell after heroically blocking Zaniolo’s strike, allowing Zaniolo to land on him.

Vicario seemed to have taken a hit to the head, requiring emergency medical attention.

According to recently released video from the match, club captain Son was pleading with Vicario to leave the field because he might have suffered a brain injury, but the South Korean player refused to give up.

The South Korean, who appeared to be very irate at his keeper, was spotted hitting him three times on the shoulders out of frustration.

Son was upset at Vicario’s choice, but Yves Bissouma intervened to diffuse the tension.

Son wanted Vicario to go off because he had a head injury, thus his wrath was a worry.

Thankfully, the Italian managed to stand again after a short while.

Both players hugged after the game, with Vicario kissing Son on the forehead.
