Indiana State Women’s Golf Set for 2025 MVC Championships at Annbriar Golf Course

April 13–15, 2025 | Waterloo, Illinois

Indiana State women’s golf is set to compete in the 2025 Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Championships, held at Annbriar Golf Course from April 13 to 15. The Sycamores enter the postseason coming off a strong showing at their home tournament in Terre Haute, where they finished third overall. The team opened that event with a season-best score of 295, marking their only round this season under 10-over par (+7) and their lowest team round in the past three seasons.

Representing Indiana State on the course will be Briana LeMaire, Yang Tai, Sophia Florek, Rosalie DiNunzio, and Alana Gilbert. Junior Eliza Baker will serve as the alternate.

Player Highlights:

Briana LeMaire (Junior):

LeMaire leads the team in scoring average this season at 73.36 across nine tournaments. She has been the Sycamores’ top finisher in four events, including each of the last three. At the PFW Hammock Beach Invitational in Florida, she earned her first collegiate win, helping Indiana State claim one of their two team victories this season.

Yang Tai (Junior):

Tai holds the second-best scoring average on the team at 76.26 from eight tournaments. She has led the Sycamores in three events, including her first collegiate victory at the Braun Intercollegiate in the fall, which also marked the team’s first win of the season.

Sophia Florek (Sophomore):

Florek is coming off a career-best performance, shooting a two-round total of 149 that included a personal-low round of 71 (-1) at the Spring Invite. She has a season scoring average of 77.82 and has been the team’s top performer twice this season — at the Redbird Invitational in the fall and at the recent Spring Invite.

Rosalie DiNunzio (Sophomore):

DiNunzio enters the MVC Championships with a 78.59 scoring average. She has posted two top-five finishes this season — one in the fall and one in the spring. Her best individual round came at the Roseann Schwartz Invitational where she shot even par. In the spring, her strongest tournament came at the Hammock Beach Invitational, where she tied for fourth at 7-over.

Alana Gilbert (Freshman):

Gilbert is the only freshman on the roster to have competed in all nine tournaments this season. She delivered her best performance at the Spring Invite, shooting even-par in the second round and finishing with a two-day total of 149 (+5) to place sixth. Her top individual finish came during the team’s fall victory, where she tied for fifth.

With solid performances throughout the season and momentum from recent tournaments, Indiana State looks to make a strong showing at this year’s MVC Championships.
