COLUMBUS, Ohio – The University of Dayton men’s golf team had a strong finish at the Ohio State Buckeye Classic, with three players posting scores under par in the final round on Saturday. Senior Ben Cors led the Flyers with a 3-under-par 69 in the final round, finishing tied for 19th out of 81 competitors. The 54-hole tournament was hosted at the Columbus Country Club, which played as a par-72 course measuring 7,077 yards.
Ohio State, the host team, secured the team title with rounds of 287-277-282 for a total score of 846 (-18). Kent State’s representative won individual honors with rounds of 70-67-68 for a score of 205 (-11). Dayton finished in a tie for seventh place out of 13 teams, posting scores of 298-296-284 for a total of 878 (+14). The Flyers climbed two spots on the leaderboard thanks to their strong final round performance.

Tournament Highlights:
Sophomore Breckin Taylor recorded an eagle on the par-4 12th hole during the second round.
Freshman Luke Kahle finished with 39 pars, the fifth-highest total in the field.
Dayton’s final-round team score of 284 (-4) matched their second-lowest round of the season.
What’s Next: The Flyers will compete in the 2025 Atlantic 10 Men’s Golf Championship from April 22 to 24. The 54-hole event will be held at Evermore Resort in Orlando, Florida. The winner of the tournament will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
