Jake Paul Pulls the Final Trigger as KSI Lays Bare Mike Tyson Truth

Jake Paul and KSI have never exactly been on friendly terms. Even though KSI is business partners with Logan Paul through their joint Prime Hydration venture, his relationship with Logan’s brother, Jake, has always been tense. Their animosity stems from KSI’s victory over Logan Paul in 2019, which was Logan’s pro boxing debut. That loss had a deep emotional impact on Logan, something Jake later opened up about on his podcast BS with Jake Paul. He recalled a moment in a van where a drunk and visibly upset Logan expressed how much the loss to KSI affected him. That moment fueled Jake’s determination to get revenge for his brother.

Despite years of build-up, a fight between Jake Paul and KSI never materialized—partly due to KSI hinting at retiring from boxing. As a result, Jake moved on with his career. While KSI has remained somewhat inconsistent about his boxing future, Jake has focused on expanding his influence as a promoter through Most Valuable Promotions. One of his major achievements has been organizing the historic Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano trilogy, which was the first all-female card of its kind.

However, just when it seemed Jake had moved on from the KSI drama, KSI reignited tensions. During a conversation with UFC legend Demetrious Johnson on his YouTube channel, KSI discussed his boxing career and mentioned Jake Paul. This interview happened shortly after KSI had said he was contemplating retirement. Jake saw the clip and didn’t hold back. He reposted the video with a fiery caption calling KSI a “fake a– fraud” and accused him of dodging the fight, mocking the various excuses KSI had supposedly used over the years.

KSI, for his part, claimed he still wants to fight Jake and believes he’s the better boxer. He accused Jake and his team of intentionally avoiding the bout because a loss to KSI could seriously damage Jake’s reputation. KSI speculated that Jake’s business partner, Nakisa Bidarian, is prioritizing profitable fights before ever facing him. According to KSI, that’s why Jake was pushed toward fights like those against Canelo Alvarez and Mike Tyson—one being a calculated loss, the other an easy win designed for spectacle and big money. He mocked the idea of Tyson, now much older, beating Jake, calling it absurd that people even believed that was possible.

Jake, clearly frustrated, responded with another jab. He posted a long list of what he called the “KSI Excuse List”—20 reasons he believes KSI has avoided fighting him. These ranged from KSI’s music career and needing warm-up fights to blaming promoters, ring size, and even humorous entries like an “Usher concert” and “sparring IShowSpeed.”

Meanwhile, KSI admitted that the last few years have taken a toll. The stress of running Misfits Boxing and maintaining a public career has worn him down. On his YouTube channel, he said he’s uncertain about his future in the ring, stating, “Am I going to retire? I don’t know. Am I going to fight again? I don’t know.” On social media, he added that his body is breaking down—he’s been ill for nearly three weeks with flu symptoms, intense headaches, no energy, and loss of taste and smell. He concluded, “I’m fu–ed,” laughing it off, but it painted a picture of someone truly exhausted.

So the question remains—Is KSI genuinely thinking of stepping away from boxing, or is this just another chapter in the hype leading up to a fight with Jake Paul? Given his mental and physical state, should he prioritize recovery, or push through for the highly anticipated matchup fans are still hungry to see?
