Steelers Shake Things Up: More Coaching Changes on the Horizon?

The Pittsburgh Steelers may still make adjustments to their coaching staff. So far, the most notable changes have been on the defensive side, with the team bringing in Scott McCurley as the inside linebackers coach and Gerald Alexander as the defensive backs coach.

Head coach Mike Tomlin has not ruled out the possibility of further additions to his staff. He stated that he is open to making more hires if needed. However, at this stage of the offseason, it is unlikely that any current coaches will be fired or let go unless unexpected circumstances arise.

If the team does decide to make another coaching move, it would most likely involve adding a consultant or a senior assistant to focus on a specific aspect of the game. This would be similar to the role of senior offensive assistant Mike Sullivan, who currently holds a specialized position on the staff.

The Steelers had promised “big changes” this offseason, but most of those have been directed at reshaping the team’s roster rather than making significant coaching staff adjustments. While a few hires have been made, the overall structure of the coaching staff appears to remain mostly unchanged.
