Patrick Reed WITB March 2025: LIV Golf Pro’s Golf Bag Explored

Patrick Reed is searching for his groove again as he heads into LIV Golf Miami, and his equipment setup is as dialed in as ever. Despite a tough start to the year—splitting his time between the DP World Tour and LIV—his best finishes so far are T8 at the Ras al Khaimah Championship and T10 in Hong Kong. While those results are respectable, Reed is a competitor who thrives on victories, and he’s likely feeling the pressure to return to the winner’s circle.

Reed’s driver of choice is the TaylorMade Golf Qi35 LS Driver Graphite, equipped with an Accra TZ Six ST 75 M5 shaft. This driver, known for its low center of gravity and high moment of inertia, is designed for optimized launch and spin. His Titleist GT2 Fairway Wood with an Aldila Rogue Silver 125MSI 80 Tour X shaft is built for distance and forgiveness, helping him maintain a spot in the top 35 for driving distance.

His Callaway Apex Pro Hybrid 3H, featuring Aldila RIP Phenom Hybrid 100 TX shaft, is a crucial part of his bag, utilizing Jailbreak A.I. Velocity Blades to boost ball speed on low-face strikes. This allows him to maintain consistency in his long game, even when his ball-striking isn’t at its best.

Reed’s Iron Game & Wedges

For his irons, Reed has a mix of Titleist TMB 716 (2-iron), Grindworks PR 101A (5-PW), and Grindworks PR-202 Irons, all fitted with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts. These clubs give him a blend of high launch, soft feel, and precision, but despite this setup, his GIR (greens in regulation) ranking sits at 40, meaning there’s room for improvement.

In the short game, he uses Cleveland RTX6 Zipcore (50°), Titleist Vokey Design SM9 (56°), and Titleist Vokey Design SM10 (60°) wedges, all fitted with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 shafts. His wedge play remains sharp, but the stats suggest he isn’t converting enough scoring chances.

Putting: The Final Piece of the Puzzle

On the greens, Reed trusts a Scotty Cameron TourType Timeless Putter 2.5, which has helped him maintain a 1.64 putting average. He pairs it with the Titleist Pro V1x ball, known for its control and consistency in high-pressure situations.

Is Reed’s Gear Enough to Get Him Back to Winning?

Reed’s setup is high-end, but golf is more than just the right equipment—it’s about execution. His driving distance and putting are solid, but his iron play and approach shots need improvement. With LIV Golf Miami approaching, he’ll need to sharpen his ball-striking and capitalize on his scoring opportunities if he wants to break his winless streak.

Can his gear finally propel him back to the top, or is it time for a deeper change in strategy? Let’s see if he can turn things around in Miami.
