Colorado College defenseman Ty Gallagher has secured a two-year contract with the Providence Bruins, as announced on Wednesday.
Gallagher, who recently completed his first season with Colorado College, had an impressive performance, tallying 26 points with nine goals and 17 assists across 37 games. Before joining the Tigers, he spent three seasons playing for Boston University, where he accumulated a total of 42 points, including eight goals and 34 assists, over the course of 111 games.
Originally from Clarkston, Michigan, Gallagher was chosen by the Boston Bruins as the 217th overall pick in the seventh round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
As he transitions to professional hockey, he will initially join Providence, the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Boston Bruins, on an amateur tryout (ATO). His two-year contract is set to officially commence in the upcoming season.
