Alcaraz admitted that he felt nervous even before the match and struggled to find his rhythm during warm-ups. The 21-year-old Spaniard acknowledged that he did not approach the match as well as he could have and described the loss as difficult to digest. However, he remains determined to bounce back stronger.
“Today has been a difficult day for me. I didn’t practice well. I didn’t feel myself on the court. Even in warm-ups, I was missing a lot and didn’t feel my shots. I was nervous throughout the whole day,” Alcaraz admitted.
