Charley Hull’s Family Falls for Fake Bootcamp as She Nears Her Away from Golf Dreams

Charley Hull has set an ambitious fitness goal for 2025—running 5 km in 20 minutes. Recently, during her visit to Sentosa Golf Club, the 28-year-old came close to achieving it. Reflecting on her progress, she shared, “I actually did my personal best in my 5K run in 26 minutes, knocked another minute off. I was pretty happy about that. [It was] 30 seconds off, actually. That kept me in a good space for the rest of the day.” Given her dedication to fitness, it’s impressive that she continues to push herself, even when she’s not feeling her best.

Hull’s extreme commitment has not only inspired fans but also some of her fellow golfers. The world’s number one, Nelly Korda, has taken a page from Hull’s book, hitting the treadmill even on a Sunday during her break from the LPGA Tour. Another competitor, Lexi Thompson, who recently stepped back from full-time professional golf, has also been striving to match Hull’s intensity.

Beyond the golf world, Hull’s passion for fitness has even reached her family. She recently shared a social media story showing her cousin, Jodie Bradshaw, on a treadmill. The caption humorously read: “Come down for a nice chilled weekend with me cuz. Little did she know it’s really a boot camp 😂❤ @jodiebradshaw_.” It seems Hull has roped her cousin into her rigorous routine, demonstrating just how deeply ingrained fitness has become in her lifestyle.

As Hull gears up for her return to the LPGA Tour, her next challenge is just around the corner. She last competed at the HSBC Women’s World Championship 2025, where she was in strong contention through three rounds. However, a final round of 2-over-par 74 placed her at T4, six strokes behind the leader. She then opted to skip the Blue Bay LPGA 2025 in China.

Now, Hull is set to rejoin the Tour at the Ford Championship, scheduled for March 27, 2025, at the Whirlwind Golf Club’s Cattail Course in Chandler, Arizona. The tournament will also feature top players like Nelly Korda, Lydia Ko, and Rose Zhang, who is returning after completing her winter studies at Stanford. With such a competitive field, the Ford Championship is shaping up to be an exciting event.

The big question remains—will Hull’s rigorous fitness regimen finally help her break her LPGA Tour winless streak? Fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see if her dedication translates into a tournament victory.
