Dolphins Get Their Third Wide Receiver

The Miami Dolphins have addressed a key weakness in their offense by adding a new wide receiver in free agency. Struggling to find consistent production beyond their top two pass-catchers in 2024, the team has signed a receiver known for his reliability and size.

The Dolphins have agreed to a two-year, $6.5 million deal with a 6-foot-2, 211-pound wide receiver who previously played for Tennessee. Over four seasons with his former team, he was a solid contributor, averaging 31 receptions per year.

His best season came in 2024 when he recorded 32 catches for 497 yards and a career-high nine touchdowns, including a memorable 98-yard score in Week 11. He also played a key role in a late-season upset victory over Miami in 2023, catching a crucial two-point conversion that helped set up a game-winning touchdown.

Looking ahead, he is expected to be the third receiving option in Miami’s offense, complementing a young wideout who emerged as a promising talent last season. This signing helps solidify a position that was expected to be filled by a veteran last year, but injuries and lack of impact led to his release before the season ended.

With several depth receivers either departing or entering free agency, the new addition provides much-needed stability. His presence will be valuable as the Dolphins look to build a more balanced and effective passing attack in 2025.
