What Happened to Angel Reese at Unrivaled? Digging Deeper into Chicago Star’s Injury Scare

Angel Reese, the Chicago Sky forward, has been making headlines due to recent concerns about her wrist. During a recent Unrivaled league game between Rose BC and Viny, Reese exited in the third quarter with a wrist injury. Rose BC’s official account posted, “Angel Reese left the game in the 3rd quarter with a wrist injury. Waiting updates.” Reese briefly reposted this update, labeling it as false information, but subsequently deleted her post. Rose head coach Nola Henry commented, “No update on Angel, but hopefully, we’ll have one soon. Sending her our best wishes.”

This incident is particularly concerning given Reese’s history with wrist injuries. In September 2024, she sustained a hairline fracture in her left wrist during a game against the Los Angeles Sparks, which required surgery and ended her rookie season. Despite this setback, Reese made a strong recovery and returned to competitive play in the Unrivaled league, where she has been a dominant force. Notably, she became the first player in the league to achieve a 20-20 game, recording 22 points and 21 rebounds in a single match.

To further enhance her performance, Reese has been training with WNBA legend Lisa Leslie, focusing on improving her layup accuracy—a skill that had been under scrutiny. Fans have expressed enthusiasm about this collaboration, anticipating significant progress in Reese’s game.

As of now, there is no official update on Reese’s current wrist condition. Fans and teammates alike are hopeful that this recent incident is minor and that she will continue to excel on the court.
