Miami Hurricanes standing out for in-state 4-star running back Javian Mallory

While many running backs in the 2026 recruiting class fly under the radar, a handful of prospects continue to gain well-deserved attention.

One of those prospects is Javian Mallory, a running back from West Boca Raton in Boca Raton, Florida. Mallory stands at 5-foot-11 and weighs 200 pounds. Rivals ranks him 201st nationally, 10th among running backs, and 29th overall in Florida.

Despite numerous offers from various schools, one program has stood out above the rest — the Miami Hurricanes.

Mallory recently attended Miami’s first spring practice, and according to On3Sports, he was already leaning toward the Hurricanes before the visit. Miami has been pursuing Mallory for an extended period, and he remains one of their top targets in the 2026 cycle.

While Miami holds strong interest, other programs are still firmly in the mix. Louisville and Florida have both secured official visits with Mallory. He is set to visit Florida on May 30, Louisville on June 6, and Miami on June 20.

Having the final visit currently scheduled could play a significant role in Miami’s chances of landing the talented back.
