Penn State’s coaching staff continues to see changes, as defensive analyst Vic Hall has been hired by Rutgers to serve as the team’s new safeties coach. The Scarlet Knights officially announced the move on X Thursday night.
Hall brings a wealth of coaching experience to Rutgers, having previously worked as a defensive backs coach and passing game coordinator at Ball State, a cornerbacks coach at Howard, and a safeties coach at Hampton before joining Penn State’s staff.

His hiring marks the second time this offseason that Rutgers has added a defensive analyst from Penn State, following the earlier acquisition of Robb Smith, who was brought on to serve as the co-defensive coordinator and play-caller.
As the coaching carousel continues, both programs are adjusting their staffs ahead of the upcoming season.
