With multiple teams tied at 48 points in the HSBC SVNS Series, the Fiji Men’s 7s squad is focused on breaking away from the competition in Vancouver.
Head coach Osea Kolinisau understands the importance of every match, especially in a challenging pool that includes Spain, the USA, and Uruguay. The team has been working relentlessly to fine-tune their game, ensuring they make the most of every opportunity to climb the standings.
“Our goal is to win in Vancouver, but it starts with taking each game seriously,” Kolinisau emphasized. “We’re not underestimating anyone.”
Fiji is particularly cautious of Spain, a consistent performer that could prove dangerous if they cause an early upset. Additionally, Kolinisau believes that learning from past matches, especially their previous encounter with Uruguay in Perth, will be critical to their success.
The Vancouver 7s kicks off on February 21, with Fiji aiming to reaffirm their dominance on the world stage.
