Dana White Channels Inner Mike Tyson on Christmas as UFC CEO Reveals Surprise Plans

During the holiday season, while many indulge in festive treats, UFC CEO Dana White takes a different approach, prioritizing his health and fitness journey. Two years ago, White embarked on a transformational path with the help of health coach Gary Brecka. By committing to a new lifestyle, he shed weight, gained vitality, and embraced a new perspective on health. His dedication has resulted in a leaner and healthier version of himself, which he proudly shares with the public.

In June of this year, White reflected on his journey by posting images of his transformation on social media. Accompanying the pictures, he expressed gratitude to Brecka, stating, “2 years since I started my health journey with Gary Brecka thanks for changing my life brother!!! I feel incredible and thank you Kerri Kasem for connecting us.” White’s transformation goes beyond physical changes, highlighting a mindset shift that emphasizes consistency and determination, even during Christmas.

Recently, White shared glimpses of his holiday routine on Instagram. Inside the UFC headquarters’ gym, dubbed “Death Row,” he showcased his relentless commitment to maintaining his physical fitness. A wall in the gym featured a quote from Mike Tyson: “Don’t be surprised if I behave like a savage. I am a savage.” This quote encapsulates White’s drive and gritty approach to both life and business. The gym’s name, “Death Row,” was coined by White himself, inspired by the challenging workouts designed by IFBB bodybuilder and coach Milos Sarcev.

Sarcev once revealed on social media that White, after returning from Costa Rica, went straight to the gym for an intense full-body workout that included grueling giant sets. This dedication underlines White’s philosophy of purposeful living, which aligns with the reflective and renewing spirit of the holiday season.

White’s admiration for Mike Tyson extends beyond physical fitness. In a past conversation with Tyson on the HotBoxin’ podcast, White shared how Tyson’s iconic walkout to a DMX anthem in 1999 inspired the UFC’s production style. Witnessing commentators harshly criticize Tyson during the walkout left a deep impression on White. Determined to avoid such negativity, he established a culture in UFC commentary that celebrates fighters rather than tearing them down. According to White, respecting fighters, their craft, and the moment is crucial to the sport’s identity.

White’s “savage” mindset is evident in every aspect of his life, from maintaining his fitness on Christmas to elevating UFC into a global powerhouse. His commitment serves as a testament to his relentless drive, shaped by his admiration for Tyson’s grit and determination. Whether grinding in the gym or ensuring fighters receive the respect they deserve, White embodies a lifestyle of purpose and resilience.

What are your thoughts on Dana White’s dedication to fitness and his approach to life? Does his relentless grind inspire you, or is it too extreme?
