Coco Gauff Expresses Awe Over $726 Million Hollywood Blockbuster After Finally Watching It Nearly a Decade Later

Coco Gauff, the former US Open champion, is widely celebrated for her accomplishments on the tennis court. However, her interests and talents extend beyond sports, as she has showcased a deep appreciation for movies and storytelling through her social media posts. Recently, Gauff indulged in Christopher Nolan’s 2014 sci-fi masterpiece Interstellar, reflecting her love for art and cinema when she’s not immersed in her tennis career.

Gauff, known for her passion for tennis and fashion, frequently updates her followers on her movie experiences. Earlier, she shared her enthusiastic review of the musical fantasy film Wicked. Although not typically a fan of musicals, Gauff praised the movie, calling it “really good!!! 10!!” in an Instagram story. Only a week later, she shared another update, this time about her experience watching Interstellar. Posting the movie’s cover image, she described it as “amazing,” capturing the excitement of discovering the film for the first time. Her fans were thrilled by her choice, admiring her taste in movies even though she was late to explore Nolan’s acclaimed work.

Gauff’s love for movies is well-documented, as is her admiration for Hollywood star Zendaya. After winning the US Open in 2023, Gauff expressed her admiration for Zendaya during the trophy presentation, a moment made even more special when Zendaya sent her a bouquet. Interestingly, Gauff’s former coach, Brad Gilbert, also trained Zendaya for her role in the tennis-themed film Challengers. This connection further highlights the American player’s ties to the world of cinema.

Beyond traditional films, Gauff also has a soft spot for anime and superhero stories. Following her 2024 Miami Open exit, where she was defeated in the Round of 16 by Caroline Garcia, Gauff turned to movies and TV shows for comfort. She posted about watching Marvel’s animated series X-Men ’97 on Instagram, sharing a glimpse of her living room with the show on her TV screen. This update delighted her fans, who welcomed her to the Marvel fandom.

Gauff has also shared her thoughts on the movie Challengers, particularly relating to the character Tashi Duncan. She described Tashi as a complex, villainous character and admitted she saw aspects of herself in the role. Her remarks revealed the depth of her connection to the story, showcasing how art resonates with her on a personal level.

Gauff’s enthusiasm for movies, combined with her interests in tennis and fashion, underscores her multi-talented personality. Whether sharing reviews, enjoying animated series, or connecting with Hollywood icons, she proves to be a dynamic individual with diverse passions that extend far beyond the court. Her love for storytelling and artistic expression adds another layer to her already impressive career, making her a truly versatile and inspiring figure in the sports world.
