Gallon of kerosene”: Giants fans rip Coach Prime and Shedeur Sanders after Colorado star’s New York visit breaks the internet

Shedeur Sanders, the standout quarterback for the Colorado Buffaloes, is widely anticipated to be a top 10 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. While his potential NFL landing spot is ultimately out of his control, fans are buzzing with speculation about which team he might join. Recently, his appearance at Madison Square Garden sparked a debate on how moving to a team like the New York Giants might impact his career.

Some fans expressed skepticism about the Giants being a good fit for Sanders. One comment described the team’s current state as a “dumpster fire,” suggesting that adding the “Shedeur & Deion Sanders Media Circus” would only worsen the situation. Others noted that his father, Deion Sanders, might play a significant role in determining where Shedeur lands. One fan remarked, “Doesn’t matter what he or we want… it matters what Deion wants. Shouldn’t be that way… this kid’s a Raider already.” Another added, “Don’t expect him in a Giants uniform ever” because of his father’s influence.

Not all opinions were negative. Some fans believe Shedeur Sanders has the right mindset to thrive in New York. One fan shared, “Think both him and Ward have the mentality to succeed in New York.” Others focused on praising his talent, with one stating, “Shedeur is going to be so freaking good, I can’t wait.” Meanwhile, another fan suggested that he might prefer joining the Raiders instead of the Giants.

As for why Shedeur Sanders is in New York City, it is likely tied to the Heisman Trophy ceremony at the Lincoln Center. Although Shedeur himself wasn’t named a finalist—a decision that surprised many, including him—he is in the city to support his teammate, Travis Hunter, who is a finalist. The other Heisman candidates include Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty, Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel, and Miami’s Cameron Ward. Hunter is considered the frontrunner for the prestigious award.
