Fiji showed promise in the first half, maintaining a structured and organized approach. They managed to cross the try line once, thanks to Lavena Cavuru. However, Great Britain’s exceptional pace proved challenging for the Fijian defense.
By halftime, Great Britain held a narrow 10-5 lead. In the second half, Grace Crompton utilized her speed on the wings to score two tries for Great Britain, further widening the gap. Reneega Bonner and Emma Uren also contributed with a try each, securing the victory for their side.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways Fiji men’s team is scheduled to face Uruguay in their opening pool match at 12:38 AM and will later play Great Britain at 4:19 AM.
