Season 3 of the Hyundai She’s Electric online surfing competition has concluded, unveiling the Top 5 female athletes who now form Hyundai Team Electric. Among the standouts is Queensland’s Piper Harrison, who earned a perfect 10-point ride to claim the top spot. The full team roster is as follows:

These athletes will participate in a three-day camp at the Hyundai High Performance Centre from Thursday to Saturday, culminating in the announcement of the overall competition winner at the 2024 Australian Surfing Awards on Saturday night.
Piper Harrison expressed excitement about the opportunity, stating that she looks forward to improving her skills and bonding with fellow surfers, emphasizing her gratitude for the support and opportunities available in women’s surfing.
The camp offers expert coaching, exposure, and a chance to compete for significant rewards, including $1,000 in cash, a 12-month loan of a Hyundai vehicle, and a VIP experience at the Hyundai Australian Boardriders Battle Grand Final. The surfers will also work with former World Tour competitor Laura Enever.
Judge Tahlia Henderson commended the competitors, highlighting their exceptional performances across various styles, including barrels, progressive airs, and critical turns. She praised the competition for showcasing talent from diverse surfing backgrounds, from the WSL Qualifying Series to up-and-coming juniors.

The Top 5 surfers expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming camp, focusing on mutual support and personal growth as they prepare to compete for the top honor.
About Hyundai She’s Electric
Hyundai She’s Electric is an inclusive online competition for female surfers aged 16 and over across Australia. Designed to amplify grassroots talent, the competition awards over $58,500 in prizes. Participants submit videos of their best waves, which are assessed by an expert panel of female judges.
The competition ran for two months, ending on November 22, 2024. The highest scorers earned a spot in the Top 5, also known as Hyundai Team Electric. These surfers will attend an exclusive training camp at the Hyundai High Performance Centre (HPC) in Casuarina, NSW. The camp features professional coaching, surf analysis, and workshops led by renowned surfers.
The event concludes with a knockout surf-off to determine the overall winner. Alongside other rewards, the champion will receive a one-year Hyundai ambassadorship and a surfboard from the MF x Laura Enever Collection.
This initiative underscores Hyundai and Surfing Australia’s commitment to empowering female surfers and celebrating their contributions to the sport.
