Manchester United’s newly appointed head coach, Ruben Amorim, has expressed confidence in his ability to lead the club and emphasized that he is the “right man” for the job. However, he acknowledged that time will be needed to fully implement his vision and strategies.
The 39-year-old Portuguese coach signed a two-and-a-half-year contract to take over the role, following the dismissal of Erik ten Hag last month.
Currently, Manchester United finds itself in a challenging position, sitting 13th in the Premier League table. They are seven points clear of their next opponents, Ipswich Town, who are fourth from the bottom.
At his first press conference, Amorim admitted the magnitude of the task ahead at Old Trafford but remained optimistic about the club’s future. He described himself as “a little bit of a dreamer” and expressed strong belief in the potential of the team.
After spending four successful years at Sporting, Amorim is determined to bring transformative changes to Manchester United, with the ultimate goal of making the team competitive in the Premier League title race once again.
