Before Nottingham Forest, Arsenal suffered a severe injury blow, as confirmed by surgery.

Arsenal defender Ben White is expected to miss around eight weeks following minor knee surgery, leaving Mikel Arteta’s squad with another defensive setback. White, who has been managing his workload due to ongoing joint issues, had started Arsenal’s recent Champions League match against Inter Milan and the Premier League clash with Chelsea. However, the decision was made for him to undergo a procedure to address his knee problem.

This injury compounds Arsenal’s defensive challenges, with summer signing Riccardo Calafiori also sidelined due to a knee issue and Takehiro Tomiyasu currently unavailable. Arteta, who has seen his team’s momentum in the title race wane, will have to adapt his lineup as Arsenal return to action on November 23 with a home match against Nottingham Forest, followed by an away Champions League fixture against Sporting Lisbon.

Arsenal will look to hold steady in both competitions, but with key players out, Arteta faces a testing period in his defense.
