Piers Morgan wastes no time with Cristiano Ronaldo claim moments after Erik ten Hag is sacked

Piers Morgan wasted no time sharing his thoughts on Erik ten Hag’s sacking from Manchester United, labeling the former manager as “delusional” and “disrespectful” following the team’s disappointing 2-1 loss to West Ham United. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Morgan recalled Cristiano Ronaldo’s past criticisms of Ten Hag, stating, “Every single word that Cristiano told me about Ten Hag in our explosive interview was born out by events.”

Morgan further criticized Ten Hag, calling him “an over-promoted, delusional, disrespectful, and thoroughly mediocre manager” who struggled to manage top talent at a club of United’s stature. He referenced Ronaldo’s comments from their 2022 interview, where the Portuguese superstar expressed a lack of respect for Ten Hag due to perceived disrespect from the manager.

With Manchester United currently sitting 14th in the Premier League and only four wins across all competitions this season, the club has turned to Ruud van Nistelrooy as interim manager while they search for a permanent replacement. Morgan’s remarks reflect a long-standing critique of Ten Hag’s management style and approach, particularly in light of the team’s underwhelming performance during his tenure.
