In an interview with Access Hollywood on October 23, Biles, 27, explained, “I’m currently on tour so unfortunately not,” when asked if she and Swift had spent any time together. She mentioned that she has missed many games but hopes to connect with Swift once her tour concludes. Biles humorously added, “But you usually don’t bond with opponents,” referring to their partners’ rivalry in the NFL.
Biles’s husband, Jonathan Owens, plays for the Chicago Bears, while Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, is with the Kansas City Chiefs. The two teams are not set to meet during the regular season.
After securing four medals at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, Biles embarked on Athleta’s Gold Over Golden American tour. This show combines elements of a pop concert with the athletic showcases of Biles and fellow gymnasts such as Jade Carey and Jordan Chiles.
At the premiere of her new series, “Simone Biles Rising,” on October 23 in Hollywood, Biles expressed her feelings about life after gymnastics. She reflected, “Now I’m like, ‘Oh my god.’ Like, what happens in life now?” She shared that she would miss the physical freedom gymnastics provided, noting, “The ability that I have in the gym is not normal.” However, she acknowledged the growth she has experienced in other areas of her life, emphasizing that staying true to herself is what she is most proud of in her career.
During a Q&A session following the series premiere, Biles was asked about her legacy but refrained from answering, stating, “Usually, if you’re using the word legacy, it means you’re done,” indicating that she feels her journey is still ongoing.
