Dana White has expressed his disapproval of PFL co-founder Donn Davis’s comparison of the UFC to the PFL. After the PFL’s recent PPV event, “Battle of the Giants,” featuring Francis Ngannou, Davis claimed it rivaled the best UFC cards of the year. In response, White dismissed these assertions and presented evidence to counter them.
At the Power Slap 9 post-fight press conference, White criticized the PFL, stating that it couldn’t compete even with Power Slap, let alone the UFC, which he called the top promotion in combat sports. He detailed the social media and online popularity of both leagues, highlighting that Power Slap outperformed the PFL in nearly every metric. White further claimed that one of the UFC’s less-publicized Fight Night events surpassed the PFL’s biggest PPV of the year.
He also made a notable dig at Democratic Presidential candidate Kamala Harris, likening her speaking style to Davis’s comments, suggesting they are verbose yet lack substance. White concluded by expressing his disdain for Davis’s position, indicating he wouldn’t want to be one of his investors.
