Angel Reese Seeks Caitlin Clark Alliance as She Spills Bold Money Advice Amid WNBA Pay Outcry

The highly anticipated WNBA game between the Indiana Fever and the Chicago Sky on June 1, 2024, marked the first professional clash between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark. Both players, who had a history of competing against each other, made an immediate impact in the league, fueling the Rookie of the Year conversation. Despite Caitlin Clark winning that particular matchup, the two maintain a great deal of mutual respect, as Reese recently highlighted in an interview.

In a discussion with *The Wall Street Journal*, Reese touched on their long-standing rivalry, saying, “Caitlin and I have been playing against each other since we were kids.” Reflecting on the 2023 NCAA championship, which LSU won, and her now-famous ring finger gesture, Reese explained how the moment symbolized broader issues in sports. “It was a full-circle moment about how women are perceived when it comes to trash-talking. It’s accepted in men’s sports, so we need to normalize it in women’s sports, too,” she said.

Both athletes are known for their fierce competitiveness and skill, and Reese believes that they have significantly contributed to growing the WNBA’s fan base. She expressed optimism about their future in the league, adding, “We’ve brought a lot of fans to this league, and I think we’ll continue to do that. Hopefully, one day, we can even be teammates.”
