Recently, Simone Biles shared a snapshot on her Instagram Stories featuring a two-tier celebratory cake from the Gas South Arena. The cake displayed the Gold Over America Tour poster with “2024. Gas South Arena. October 13.” However, it humorously included a photo from the 2021 tour, featuring Biles alongside Jordan Chiles, McKayla Skinner, Grace McCallum, and Jade Carey. Fans quickly noticed the mix-up, pointing out that neither McKayla Skinner nor Grace McCallum is on this season’s tour, sparking playful reactions online.
One user shared a screenshot of Biles’ post on Reddit with the caption, “An attempt was made!” and joked about the confusion between the year and the photo. Another user pointed out the mistake, noting that the cake featured the wrong athletes, despite the fact that it would have been easy to crop the image to only include Carey, Biles, and Chiles, who are part of the current tour.
