Conor McGregor’s Words for Mike Tyson Could Just Be What the Boxer Needs Before November Return

Mike Tyson, the legendary heavyweight boxer, is preparing for a bare-knuckle fight against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on November 15. Originally scheduled for July 20, the bout had to be postponed due to a health scare Tyson faced during a flight, where he suffered from an ulcer flare-up. Medical professionals advised him to reduce training temporarily before returning to full strength, prompting the rescheduling of the event. In the meantime, Jake Paul fought and defeated Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship star Mike Perry.

As the new fight date approaches, UFC star Conor McGregor has been adding to the excitement. McGregor, no stranger to crossover combat events, has expressed his admiration for Tyson. He recently posted a playful picture with the boxing legend on Instagram, humorously referring to Tyson as “Bare Knuckle Mike Tyson.” During a live stream, McGregor voiced his hope that Tyson would “rattle” Jake Paul, dismissing Paul as irrelevant in the boxing world.

Despite the mutual respect between Tyson and McGregor, the same can’t be said for Jake Paul. Paul has long criticized McGregor for not agreeing to fight him, claiming McGregor avoids a potential match. McGregor, however, has rarely responded to Paul’s provocations, showing his support for Tyson instead. In his live stream, McGregor criticized the rules and the venue for the upcoming fight, specifically calling out the use of 14-ounce gloves and two-minute rounds, as well as expressing disbelief that the event is being held in the massive AT&T Stadium, which can accommodate over 100,000 fans.

While McGregor has been vocal in his support for Tyson, it remains uncertain whether Tyson, at his age, can still deliver a knockout punch against Jake Paul. Many are eagerly waiting to see if the former heavyweight champion can return to form and remind everyone why he was once considered “The Baddest Man on The Planet.” The fight has sparked much debate about whether Tyson can still dominate in the ring or if Jake Paul is the new rising star.
