Yankees News: Relentless Jazz Chisholm Jr. Doubles Down on “Lucky” Take Despite Aaron Boone Refuting It

The New York Yankees secured a win in Game 1 against the Kansas City Royals, though they weren’t at their best. In Game 2, however, they fell 4-2, with Aaron Judge failing to deliver in key moments. As is often the case, when Judge struggles, so does the rest of the team. Despite his lapses in Game 1, the Yankees managed to pull through, but they weren’t so lucky the second time around.

This victory was crucial for the Royals, evening the series and setting the stage for their first playoff game at home since the 2015 World Series. However, Yankees third baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. stirred controversy by dismissing the Royals’ win as mere luck, stating, “We had a lot of missed opportunities tonight, so they just got lucky.” He later doubled down on this remark, explaining on social media that belief in success is key, and that one must speak victory into existence.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone, while not fully endorsing Chisholm’s comments, acknowledged that some tough luck played into the game but credited the Royals for playing well. Royals catcher Salvador Perez brushed off the criticism, focusing instead on the game ahead. Tensions between the teams were evident, as pitcher Carlos Rodon antagonized the Royals’ dugout after a strong inning, only for Perez to respond with a home run and a taunting gesture of his own.

With the series heating up, both teams are gearing up for a competitive Game 3, with fans eagerly anticipating the out

come.
