Michael Rubin ‘Locked In’ as Jake Paul’s Recent Training Footage for Mike Tyson Fight Leaves Boxing World Divided

Jake Paul, the YouTube Boxing sensation, is eagerly anticipating his upcoming bout against former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. As the November 15th fight at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas draws closer, Paul shared a training clip of himself working on a heavy bag, which sparked a variety of reactions from the public, including a comment from Michael Rubin, the CEO of Fanatics.

This cross-generational fight will consist of 10 two-minute rounds and will mark Tyson’s return to the ring at age 58. Tyson has not fought professionally since his 2005 loss to Kevin McBride. As anticipation builds, Paul has already begun trash-talking, vowing to give “Uncle Mike” a “good night’s sleep.” On Instagram, Paul posted a message stating, “38 days until uncle Mike goes nighty night,” accompanied by a video of himself delivering quick combinations and moving swiftly around the heavy bag, as though preparing for his bout with Tyson.

Despite the excitement, concerns have been raised about Tyson’s health. Earlier this year, Tyson suffered a medical emergency during a cross-country flight, raising doubts about his ability to fight. Nevertheless, Tyson has reassured fans that he’s in good shape and ready to knock out Paul. The two fighters have been exchanging verbal jabs on social media, adding to the hype surrounding their unique matchup.

Paul’s Instagram post attracted plenty of attention, with fans and prominent figures chiming in. Michael Rubin expressed his excitement, commenting that he was “locked in” for the fight. Notably, Paul and Tyson had crossed paths at Rubin’s Fanatics Fest in New York City on August 18, where they were face-to-face for the first time since their fight was announced.

Opinions on the fight are divided. Some fans expressed doubts about Paul’s ability to take on a legend like Tyson. One user suggested Paul should face Tommy Fury again, referencing Fury’s victory over Paul in their February 2023 cruiserweight bout, where Fury won via split decision. Others, however, were impressed by Paul’s improved footwork, with one fan commenting, “His foot work actually looks nice.”

Not everyone is enthusiastic about the fight, though. One user mocked Paul for targeting an opponent much older than himself, writing, “Excited to ko a 60-year-old, what a guy.” While ethical concerns surrounding the fight exist, Tyson himself agreed to it, and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has sanctioned it, leaving little room for objection.

Some fans are still betting on Tyson, with one user boldly predicting, “Tyson wins Round 1.” While Tyson has a history of quick knockouts, there is skepticism about whether he can replicate that success at 58 years old.

Jake Paul clearly has plenty of support as he prepares to face Tyson, though there are many who remain unconvinced about the fight. The event is generating considerable buzz, with fans weighing in on whether Paul can handle such a formidable opponent or if Tyson’s legendary power will be too much for him.
