Simone Biles makes an eye-opening remark on dealing with criticism for having an unprofessional hairstyle

Simone Biles recently addressed the criticism she has faced over her hairstyle during competitions. Having grown accustomed to these remarks, she now embraces her individuality.

Biles solidified her legendary status at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she secured four medals, including three golds in the team, all-around, and vault events, and a silver in the floor exercise.

Over the years, she has been the target of criticism for her hair, including backlash after her wedding, where her hairstyle was described as unkempt, with unslicked edges. She faced similar remarks during the Paris Olympics but dismissed them, attributing the issue to the hot weather in the city.

In a recent interview, Biles spoke about her growing confidence in her natural beauty and how she has learned to embrace her appearance despite the negative comments. Initially, the criticism affected her, but over time, she developed a stronger sense of self-acceptance, advocating for self-love. She said that she used to be concerned about her hairstyle being deemed unprofessional but is no longer embarrassed by it.

Following her success at the Paris Olympics, Biles participated in various interviews and media events. During an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, she discussed her potential involvement in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. While acknowledging that 27 is relatively young in life, she noted that it is considered old in gymnastics, where athletes typically peak at an early age. Reflecting on this, she humorously remarked that she is “aging like fine wine” but admitted that within the gymnastics world, she feels “old.”

To date, Biles has amassed an impressive 11 Olympic medals and 30 World Championship medals, further cementing her legacy as the most decorated American gymnast.
