Pissed Off’ Kevin Kisner Looks Beyond USA Success Leaving His Confession an Inspirational Point for Fans: ‘It’s Coming’

Kevin Kisner, a well-known PGA Tour pro, isn’t satisfied with just a Presidents Cup victory. Despite helping Jim Furyk lead the U.S. team to triumph, Kisner remains determined to prove himself on the men’s circuit. Although he’s had a tough couple of years, Kisner’s desire to compete hasn’t diminished. His recent interview sheds light on his frustration and motivation to flip the narrative of his recent performances.

When asked about his goals for the next phase of his career, Kisner responded with refreshing honesty. He expressed disappointment with how the last two years had unfolded, missing the cut in 21 of his 34 starts. “I’m really pissed off with the way the last two years went,” Kisner admitted. His primary motivation now is to show himself, his family, and his children that his career won’t end with underwhelming results. He is determined to change his fate, saying, “I’m not going out shooting 75 and missing cuts every week.”

Kisner reflected on his performance at the 3M Open in Minnesota, where he finished T33. He said it was the first time in over a year that he felt like he was truly competing with something at stake. Now, his focus is on regaining confidence, as he remains dedicated to working hard and staying in the game. He strongly rejected the idea of retiring with a sense of failure.

Kisner has a busy schedule ahead. He’s set to compete at the 2024 Black Desert Championship, which starts on October 10. He also plans to play in at least four of the five remaining FedEx Cup Fall events, including the Shriners Children’s Open and the Zozo Championship. Fans have expressed their support, with many cheering him on in the hopes that he can turn his game around. Comments on social media have ranged from encouragement to admiration for his resilience, with one fan declaring, “Just wait boys. It’s coming.”

Kisner was one of four assistant captains for Jim Furyk’s American team in the Presidents Cup. The team, along with assistant captains Brandt Snedeker, Stewart Cink, and Justin Leonard, won the biennial event 18.5-11.5 against the International team. Kisner’s career already boasts four PGA Tour wins, with the last one coming in 2021 at the Wyndham Championship. Fans believe another victory is possible, and it would help Kisner secure his place in the top 125 of the Fall standings, keeping his career money exemption for another year. Many are hopeful that he will rise to the occasion and claim another win, proving that he’s not done yet.
