He previously mentioned that he no longer has “big goals” on the court, leading to speculation about his retirement. Recently, he shared his current perspective, revealing that his priorities have shifted significantly since becoming a father to his daughter, Skai, who is about to turn two. In a recent interview, Monfils acknowledged that being a father has completely changed his outlook on life, stating that he now lives more for his family than for tennis. Monfils admitted that it is difficult being away from his daughter, but his victories on the court provide some comfort. He also announced that his daughter and wife, fellow tennis player Elina Svitolina, would be joining him during the U.S. tournaments in March.
