In addition to his cancer battle, he suffered a spider bite in 2019 that led to sepsis, requiring emergency treatment. He’s also faced knee replacement surgeries and treatment for Iliotibial Band Syndrome, a condition that forced him to withdraw from The Open in 2024.
Despite these challenges, Daly remains committed to the game, though he had to withdraw from the PGA Tour Championship in May 2024 due to a thumb injury. His determination to continue playing is admirable, but the toll on his health is a constant concern.
