In an interview with Nasdaq that was posted on their YouTube channel on September 6, Jordan Chiles responds to the question, “I think that gymnastics is more often a mental sport than a physical one.” The 23-year-old gymnast said, “One hundred percent,” in agreement with that. Chiles went on to say that this seems to be a general feature that applies to the majority of sports.
