Simone Biles has reaped significant benefits from her strong relationship with Jordan Chiles. Biles has always been a mother figure for her teammates on Team USA. From Suni Lee to Jordan Chiles, Biles has helped everyone feel more confidence before a big event. But her ratio with Jordan Chiles is something that both gymnasts value. Chiles has been practicing alongside the US gymnastics champion ahead of the Tokyo Olympics. Unfortunately, neither of the athletes had a successful outing. While Chiles only managed to win a silver medal in the team event, Biles had a catastrophic run following her twisties mishap.
However, after rising from the ashes, the two set out to conquer Paris. Jordan Chiles, who fosters an environment in which being comfortable is not an option, spoke candidly with PEOPLE, saying, “She is someone that I’ll always look up to no matter what it is in life.” And now, as Biles approaches the end of her career, her young prodigy has stepped up to help her BFF overcome the odds.

With the Gold Over America Tour 2024 due to begin soon, promotions are in full gear. In a recent Instagram video, Simone Biles reflected on prior events. As the opening act from a previous season aired, Biles reflected on how nervous she had been at the outset. She claimed that her stress caused her to forget most of her routine, including her exit direction.

But then there came Jordan Chiles, eager to assist her. Biles yelled out from the stage, “Jordan, Jordan!” And Chiles quickly obeyed, directing her and rescuing the gymnastics queen from shame. Chiles had previously stated that training with the GOAT is not an easy task. The exceedingly high standards can be difficult for other gymnasts to achieve. Chiles, on the other hand, saw it as a positive experience since it encouraged her to push herself.
When asked about Biles’ influence in her life, Chiles claimed that the GOAT has helped her understand the game much more than she previously did. Chiles stated: “Whether it’s my first Olympics, my first international assignment, or my second Olympic trials, she’s been there for me in a million different ways, and I can’t thank her enough.” Chiles arrived in Paris full of optimism, relying on the experience garnered from Biles’ mentorship. She also had a crowning achievement when she earned bronze in the vault finals. Unfortunately, everything went haywire, and Chiles was stripped of her award shortly after. Simone Biles responded to the fiasco by calling for ‘justice’.

Jordan Chiles initially earned the Olympic bronze medal due to an inquiry lodged by Cecile Landi. However, subsequent examination revealed that Landi was allegedly late in filing her inquiry. Chiles’ revised score was nullified, and the CAA chose to take her award away. Surprisingly, it was later discovered that there were no ways to determine whether the inquiry was indeed late. On the contrary, USA Gymnastics indicated that they have video proof proving that Landi’s question was submitted inside the time frame.

All of this back and forth appeared to frustrate Simone Biles. The 7x Olympic gold medallist expressed dissatisfaction with the situation, saying, “We witnessed what you did…” And it’s a sad circumstance because anything like this has never happened before, and it’s truly a sorrow, but we wish all three ladies could win medals, which is not possible in gymnastics.” She also investigated whether the decision was fair and whether the appropriate measures were taken to rule on the issue.
Calling for justice, Biles asked, “Do we believe they followed the proper procedures in reaching this decision? No. That is why we want justice for Jordan, and why we will continue to support and promote her.” Thus, with the friendship growing deeper by the day, it remains to be seen whether Jordan Chiles can elevate her game any further and bring herself closer to the renowned standards that her BFF, Simone Biles, has established.
