Simone Biles Goes Viral for What She Did After Throwing Out First Pitch at Astros Game

Simone Biles captured the attention of the world at the Paris Olympics, and she’s still just as popular close to three weeks after the Summer Games concluded.

 

The U.S. gymnast won three gold medals at the Paris Olympics, becoming the most decorated gymnast in history. Biles found some redemption after a difficult ending to the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, when she had to withdraw from several events after suffering the “twisties,” a condition that caused her to lose orientation while flying through the air.

 

Biles returned to the United States to plenty of attention, which was on display on August 30 as she threw out the first pitch at the Houston Astros game against the Kansas City Royals.

 

Chandler Rome of The Athletic noted that Biles got an unusual request from Astros first baseman Jon Singleton after throwing the ceremonial pitch. “Simone Biles threw a ceremonial first pitch to Jon Singleton who, understandably, flipped the script and asked her to autograph the baseball for him,” Rome wrote.
