Jay Monahan Talks, But Hardly

On Wednesday, prior to the Tour Championship at East Lake, which concludes the season, PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan gave a press conference.

Once again, Monahan sidestepped enquiries about the Tour’s future and possible agreements with PIF and LIV. Monahan said of the agreement, “We have not agreed to a deadline. That is not how we want to limit ourselves.

” You must be joking with me.

As previously said, as of the writing of this piece, the deadline was nearly nine months ago.

Monahan has always avoided the key questions by hiding in the shadows.

Resigned board members appear to be at the beginning of something that started in June 2023. A contract that has stalled for the past 14 months.

As far as leading the Tour is concerned, the players have done more so thus far than the Tour’s board members.

There will be even greater agitation from the crowds.

If at all, when does unification happen at this point? At the Tee on Tap What a farce Jay Monahan is.

It is impossible to trust him to lead the Tour going forward, much less take him seriously in this capacity. What has he provided us since he effectively got promoted with the founding of PGA Tour Enterprises? The roundabout.

It’s obvious that Monahan lacks the solutions.

He is not the right person for the job, and I hope that more people will start to voice their concerns so that golf may get better.

The Tour has not advanced and this has continued for too long. So what if there are certain advantages to television coverage? When you don’t display the golf, it makes no difference.

It’s time for Jay Monahan to step down and for the Tour to continue.

With Monahan in charge right now, nothing will change.

Every three months, he cannot even spend more than fifteen minutes in the spotlight. Man up, it’s time to move on.
