Why is Sloane Stephens crowned the “Queen” by Coco Gauff? Everything You Need to Know About Their Bond and That Special Moment

These days, business endeavours and tennis players go hand in hand. Tennis players such as Roger Federer and Maria Sharapova were among the first to enter the corporate world and achieved great success off the court.

Players like Naomi Osaka and Coco Gauff later launched their businesses with success and have investments in a variety of industries. Sloane Stephens is another player who has adopted a similar strategy. A few days ago, the American tennis player made a significant statement about her business endeavour, earning the highest compliments from Coco Gauff.

Stephens made the announcement about the debut of her personal care line, Doc and Glo, earlier this week. “Four years of dreams, late nights, early mornings, and a persistent determination to bring something to reality that I truly believe in,” tweeted Sloane Stephens to announce the debut. I am incredibly thrilled to present to the world today @docandglo, a brand that has been in the works for what seems like a lifetime.

Why does Sloane Stephens become Queen according to Coco Gauff? React!

Stephens’ statement was met with thousands of reactions as soon as her post went viral. Her teammates also gave her congratulations for this fantastic accomplishment. Among them was Gauff, who remarked, “Yesss,” adding an emoji of a crown to indicate that she had crowned Stephens the victor.

It’s interesting to note that Gauff and Stephens have been friends since the former was still a preteen. Stephens even went to Gauff’s tenth birthday celebration at a water park, and ever since then, their relationship has blossomed beyond recognition. Even Stephens’ childhood coach, with whom Gauff trained, eventually became the best of friends.

Stephens thinks her recently established brand has the potential to revolutionise the personal care industry. A body spray and a deodorant were the first two goods offered by Doc and Glo. Gauff was impressed with Stephens’ persistence in launching the business, even if her route was difficult. The current US Open winner bestowed upon her the title of Queen, expressing her immense pride in her fellow countrywoman. It’s interesting to note that Stephens came up with the concept for this brand during the Covid-19 outbreak.

The Covid-19 epidemic marked a sea change in Sloane Stephens’ career.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, when everyone was under lockdown and sports were suspended, Stephens made the most of her leisure time. After spending many hours refining the formulas for her brand’s products, she eventually created a body mist and a deodorant. In the Glossy Beauty Podcast that was published earlier this week, Stephens described the process she used to produce the two product formulations.

“I custom-formulated every single product,” she declared. During that period, we were unable to take a shower in the locker rooms after training, had to return straight from the site to the hotels and did not practise the usual cleanliness that we undertake when on tour. Usually, you take a quick shower [to remove all of the sunscreen]. In the locker rooms, you take a shower. I definitely worked on it throughout COVID since I thought that nobody should smell during COVID.

It’s interesting to note that Stephens’ grandparents, who lived nearby, are honoured in the name of the brand. The brand launch earlier this week was only the first step for Stephens, who plans to add more goods to her Doc and Glo line as she grows her portfolio.
