US Open 2024: Running With Roger Federer’s Support gets in the way of Iga Swiatek’s Oddly Designed Kit

The Roger Federer-endorsed book “On Running” is being examined. The firm has come under fire from fans for releasing bizarre player combo kits; Iga Swiatek’s outfit was the most recent to be released.

The world of tennis has taken notice of the Swiss maestro’s sporting label ahead of the US Open when they unveiled an unnerving design for the World No. 1’s Flushing Meadows outfit.

After winning a bronze medal in singles at the Olympics in Paris earlier this month, the rising star from Poland is set to compete on the courts in New York. Her hardcourt campaign has, however, suffered a terrible fate off the court. It is unlikely that the Pole will be seen in a funky attire at The Slam, where players wear the wildest ensembles. Consequently, this has led to the fans criticising Fed’s “On” once more.

Tennis fans were captivated by Roger Federer’s “On Running” apparel and shoe collection. But after the brand’s first success, when stars like Ben Shelton were seen wearing its colours, the company has suffered a decline. It has, at least as far as fans are concerned. The business was shown utilising spaghetti to add spray paint colours to a t-shirt in a tweet postedon X.

It appears that this was a test run for Swiatek’s next Flushing Meadows kit. Fans, however, were not placated by the vivid colour scheme and criticised the sportswear brand on X.

Iga Swiatek’s clothing has been criticised by tennis fans for having “hideous” designs thanks to Roger Federer’s “On.”

One admirer attacked On’s print design for Swiatek on social media, saying that it “truly looks so horrible.” Fans have already expressed disapproval of the company’s proposed player outfits. Notably, the sporting label faced criticism from supporters at the 2024 Australian Open after replacing Swiatek’s outfit with all-white pieces. They compared the Pole’s wardrobe to the Wimbledon dress code and attacked the Federer-endorsed brand for failing to include any colour in it.

One admirer sarcastically commented, “lolz this is everything,” while another playfully called the clothing “a waste of spaghetti.” For those who don’t know, the Swiss company has recently been involved in a scandal for allegedly taking advantage of consumers with their “expensive” shoes. Their shoes go for more than $240 on the market, even though they supposedly only cost $24 to create.

In addition, other admirers responded to Swiatek’s most recent clothing disclosure with snarky emoticons. Although the design itself suggested a tie-dye aesthetic, it also alluded to the creation of such ensembles. Although it should come as no surprise that “On Running” uses vibrant colours for their player liveries, the community was taken aback by the most recent video that showed off the process and made them compare it to how they’re adding clothing to their newest collections.

Federer owns a 3% share in On Running and is estimated to be worth $300 million. However, given the mounting disapproval from supporters, he may need to reevaluate his affiliation with the corporation. Tennis players that support the brand, like Shelton and Swiatek, wouldn’t want Federer to withdraw since it would put them in a difficult situation. How do you feel?
